1930s Art Deco mantel in Oak with bowed top and concave frieze.

A simple Art Deco mantel design, realised in beautiful, solid oak

This mantel has many subtle features. The plain legs rise from wrap round block feet to support a gently bowed top shelf edged with greek key moulding.

A recessed mantel frieze mirrors the curve of the top and provides for a narrow central shelf with a double ribbed edge.

Beneath the mantel shelf, across the top of the opening, is another band of greek key moulding.

A fireplace insert such as f576 would go well with this mantel with the curved top of the fire opening matching the shape of the frieze and top shelf.
